KMTC offers a diverse range of academic programs as of January 2024, including certificate, diploma, and higher diploma courses. Notable programs include Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Engineering, Public Health, and Physiotherapy. The college also provides various short courses aimed at enhancing professional skills, such as Safe Phlebotomy, Infection Prevention and Control, and NCLEX-RN® Preparation.
KMTC is organized into 18 specialized departments, including the Departments of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health Sciences, and Physiotherapy. This departmental structure ensures that students receive focused and comprehensive training tailored to their chosen fields.
KMTC is well-equipped with excellent facilities to support both academic and extracurricular activities. The college provides various sports facilities, including pitches and courts for ball games. Additionally, a state-of-the-art gymnasium is available at the Nairobi campus, allowing students to maintain physical fitness and engage in recreational activities.

Recognizing the importance of holistic development, KMTC actively encourages student participation in sports. The college organizes an Annual Sports Championship, typically held between July and August, where over 2,000 students from all campuses come together to compete. The competition is structured at four levels: College, Zonal, Regional, and National Finals, culminating in the determination of national champions in various sports disciplines.
Students can engage in a variety of sports, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, rugby, handball, netball, and athletics (track and field events). Indoor games such as table tennis, darts, and draughts are also popular among students.
