Kabarak University is a private, chartered Christian institution of higher learning committed to offering holistic, faith-based education, training, research, and outreach. It was founded in 2000 by Kenya’s second President, the late H.E. Daniel T. Arap Moi, who envisioned a university grounded in Christian values and academic excellence. In October 2000, the university received a Letter of Interim Authority from the Commission for Higher Education, allowing it to begin operations. In 2002, Kabarak University admitted its first cohort of students. A major milestone was achieved on 16th May 2008 when the university was officially granted a Charter by the third President of Kenya, H.E. Mwai Kibaki, elevating it to the status of a fully accredited university.
