Brookhouse International School’s Secondary Programme in Nairobi, Kenya, stands as a beacon of excellence in private, international education, offering comprehensive secondary education at both our Karen and Runda campuses. Our dedicated team of educators caters to the needs of students aged 14 to 16, providing a rigorous and engaging curriculum designed to prepare them for success in the global arena.
Our High School curriculum is based on the UK National Curriculum, adapted to meet the needs of our international student community. Subjects include English, Maths, Science, Modern Foreign Languages, Art, Humanities, and Sports. The IGCSE curriculum covers core subjects such as English, Maths, Science, and a Modern Foreign Language, alongside optional IGCSE subjects.
We welcome students from diverse educational backgrounds, including those who have completed their education within the Kenyan school system. Admission to Year 9 is typically granted after KCPE examinations, but we also consider applications on a case-by-case basis, taking into account general entry requirements and satisfactory KCPE/KCSE grades.
Our High School offers a vibrant selection of social activities, clubs, and sports teams, providing students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop talents, and cultivate leadership skills. Led by passionate specialists, our extracurricular programme enriches the learning experience and fosters personal growth and development.
