Nyeri High School, situated approximately 5 kilometers from Nyeri Town in Nyeri County, Kenya, provides a serene environment conducive to learning and moral development. Established in 1924 as a Primary Boys’ Boarding School by the Consolata Missionaries, it later transitioned into a Junior Secondary School in 1947 to meet the growing demand for education among Africans in the country.
In 1948, management and ownership shifted to the Brothers of the Sacred Heart from the United States, maintaining the school’s tradition of academic excellence. By 1954, Nyeri High School had evolved into a full secondary school, administering its first group of ‘O’ level examinations in 1955 under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Lionel. Subsequently, in 1963, the school introduced ‘A’ levels to further meet the region’s educational needs.

The Games Department, led by a Games Master, offers a wide range of sports and recreational activities, ensuring every student’s participation in at least one game, including soccer, volleyball, rugby, basketball, athletics, and more, as well as recreational games like Chess and Scrabble.
