Established in 2012, Motherwell Junior School has built a strong reputation for excellence in both teaching and pastoral care. Our school is recognized for its high academic standards and a supportive atmosphere where children thrive. We pride ourselves on offering a broad, balanced, and stimulating curriculum that helps pupils develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become lifelong learners and global citizens.

Our diverse, well-rounded approach incorporates both international and national curriculums, ensuring that students receive a unique educational foundation. We offer a comprehensive learning experience with subjects like English, Mathematics, Basic Science, Social Studies, and Religious Education (R.E.), all aligned with the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) guidelines. This is complemented by our international language offerings, including French, German, Kiswahili, and English, ensuring that children acquire important global communication skills.

Motherwell Junior School follows the National Curriculum established by the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC), with core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Basic Science, Social Studies, and Religious Education (R.E) being examined by UNEB at the Primary Seven level. In the lower Primary section (P.1–P.3), the school implements the Thematic Curriculum introduced by the Ministry of Education & Sports, focusing on literacy and numeracy as the foundation for student development.

In addition to the core subjects, Motherwell Junior School offers French, Art and Crafts, and Computer Studies to enrich students’ learning experiences. Physical Education is also an integral part of the curriculum, promoting physical fitness and teamwork among students. This well-rounded approach ensures that children receive a comprehensive education that supports both academic and personal growth.

In addition to the different sporting activities, Motherwell Junior School engages their pupils in a number of activities that will help empower and prepare them for the future. Some of the activities include; dance, music, drama both local and international. Motherwell Junior School has a wide range of sports which include but not limited to; athletics, taekwondo etc. Indoor and outdoor games like football, swimming, badminton, wood ball, table tennis but a few to mention. Clubs and societies like Red Cross, Wildlife, Scouting, Home Economics, and Writers’ Club form part of our range of co-curricular activities.
