Peter K Gad was founded with a deep sense of purpose by Mr. Paul M. Wasswa and Mrs. Molly Wasswa, whose personal stories of resilience and care inspired the name of the school. The school’s mission is rooted in providing hope and opportunity to children from impoverished backgrounds, many of whom are orphans. The school operates with a deep sense of social responsibility, offering free education to many orphans and a half-bursary system for others who cannot fully afford the fees.

The school community is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, loved, and supported. Over the years, Peter K Gad has built a strong reputation in Masaka municipality for academic excellence and social impact, with many students performing well in their Primary Leaving Examinations.

Peter K Gad offers education from Baby class (for children aged 3 years) to Primary 7 (approximately 11-12 years old). The school places a strong emphasis on providing affordable and quality education, particularly for orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Under the leadership of Mr. Martin Ssendawula, who joined the school in April 2010, Peter K Gad has become one of the best-performing schools in Masaka, with most students achieving first and second-grade results in their Primary Leaving Examinations. The school also emphasizes the importance of fostering both academic success and personal development, ensuring that students are equipped for future success.

The school operates a farm that supports its agricultural education and provides resources for the school community. This includes crop growing, piggery farming, and the recent introduction of poultry farming with 200 layer chicks since February 2012. The school’s farm contributes to the well-being of students and is an integral part of their educational experience.

The school campus provides a supportive, family-like environment where children can learn, grow, and feel safe. Peter K Gad’s facilities are designed to support both academic and personal development, making it a place where children from all backgrounds can thrive.
