Curriculum:

St Theresa Namagunga Primary School is located in Namagunga Parish, Mukono District in Uganda. It now has a population of 1,082 pupils, 36 teachers and 72 support staff.

The School is currently headed by Rev.Sr. Mary Assumpta Babirye (L.S.O.S.F). It always attract a large number of enrolments every year. It has a School Management Committee headed by Professor. Edward Kirumira who is also the Dean Faculty of Social Sciences at Makerere University Kampala, the highest institution of learning in Uganda.

Admissions

The application forms are picked and filled at St Theresa Namagunga Primary School. Applications are made only for Primary one entry. For other classes (P.2 – P.5 ) applications are allowed, if there is any vacancy and after being decided upon by the School Administration.

Successful applicants are subjected to both oral and written interviews.
The interviews take a duration of 2hours or 2 and a half hours depending on the subject.
The results are given after thorough marking of the interview.
The successful interviewees receive their admission letters on the same day.
Parents are expected to pay a flexible commitment fee on receiving the admission letter.

Academics

St Theresa Namagunga Primary School has consistently performed very well at the Primary Leaving Examination over the years and has been the leading star in Mukono district and in Uganda. As a consequence, there is great pressure for admissions, whereby many unfortunately, are turned down.

The writing is on the wall that Namagunga Primary Boarding School has carried many trophies in Primary Schools Sports and Dramma both at District and National levels. An outstanding example is the play entitled the Riddle which was about HIV/AIDS.
