Daffodils kindergarten offers the following curriculum:
Activities and topics are spread out over the four years the child spends at Daffodils kindergarten.
Literacy: Speaking and Listening, Reading, Writing.
Mathematics: Rote counting using songs and rhymes, number recognition, identifying shapes and colors, developing concepts, grouping, sorting, matching, tracing and writing, number sequencing, simple additions and subtractions, learning days of the week and months of the year.
Science and Social studies: Children are taught using a thematic approach. Each class has a theme for the term and all aspects of the theme are explored to enrich the topic.
Outdoor activities: Children have sports activities. Tae-kwon-do and aerobics, along with many ball and running games, are part of our Physical Education classes. Children have lots of fun with slides, swings, model cars, bicycles and play items that are available on the school grounds.
Expectations Each age group at Daffodils has a structured programme and various activities are carried out at the child’s age level. At the age of 6 when the child completes pre-primary, it is expected that on average a child can:
Rote count and write 1 – 100, carry out simple additions and subtraction, tell the time and relate to activities, have added vocabulary in his/ her speech, be able to re-tell a story or event, write letters Aa – Zz and simple 3 or 4 lettered words and some sentences, read stage 3 of the Oxford Reading Tree series. Develop good eye – hand co-ordination, sorting, matching, group various colors, shapes and objects etc.
Daffodils Kindergarten boasts open, spacious, and healthy classrooms that are well-stocked with a variety of games, books, puzzles, and fun activities. We use many audio-visual teaching aids to make learning engaging and interactive.
Our gardens and grounds are clean, well-maintained, and offer a wide range of outdoor toys and games for children to enjoy. They have a blast playing with model cars, bicycles, slides, swings, and engaging in water and sand play.
Daffodils Kindergarten also has a well-stocked library with a wide variety of books to foster a love for reading. Additional facilities include:

Daffodils kindergarten has admission forms that are available at the two Daffodils school offices. Parents need to submit the filled out admission form along with two passport photographs of the child, a copy of his/ her birth certificate and a copy of his/ her immunization card. In addition to this, an admission fee is charged (non – refundable) to secure a place at the school. Admissions are carried out only at the school offices and depending on the vacancy in the age group.
