We are a multicultural and multiracial institution offering a holistic educational experience in a nurturing and conducive environment. Established on 3rd February 2015, the school has grown from 42 learners and 5 teachers into a vibrant center of excellence that now embraces over twenty nationalities. Our mission is to inspire imagination, creativity, and excellence while nurturing responsible, confident, and globally minded learners.
St. Agnes Junior School offers the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) curriculum using international and integrated approaches to teaching and learning. The school emphasizes academic, social, emotional, and physical development, ensuring that each learner reaches their full potential. All UNEB Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) subjects are taught alongside ICT, Kiswahili, French, and Music to nurture 21st-century global citizens.
Our highly qualified, dedicated, and passionate educators employ modern teaching methods to make learning interactive and enjoyable. The school’s commitment to academic excellence is reflected in its outstanding performance—St. Agnes Junior School emerged as the best primary school in Makindye Division in the 2022 UNEB PLE. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, learning continued virtually, and our learners excelled, with two pupils who studied entirely online scoring Aggregate 4 in the national exams.
Parental engagement forms a key pillar of our academic philosophy. We foster a strong home-school partnership through open communication, regular progress updates, and interactive sessions like the Student-Led Conferences, where learners present their achievements and goals. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and Centre Management Committee play active roles in decision-making, ensuring that parents remain fully involved in shaping their children’s education.
At St. Agnes Junior School, we believe in holistic education that extends beyond the classroom. Our rich co-curricular program includes a variety of sports such as football (boys and girls), basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, and skating, all designed to promote teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.
We also offer a wide range of clubs and activities that nurture creativity and life skills — including debate, computer club, music, ballet, home economics, community service, and Scripture Union. Through these programs, learners discover and develop their individual talents while building leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Our learners actively participate in community outreach projects, reflecting our school’s commitment to social responsibility. These initiatives help learners appreciate empathy, teamwork, and the importance of giving back to society.
St. Agnes Junior School offers a variety of modern facilities that create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Our campus features spacious classrooms, a well-equipped computer laboratory, a rich library, a sickbay for learner health and wellness, and expansive outdoor spaces. Learners enjoy access to a basketball pitch, volleyball court, and a large playground, which together support academic focus and physical development.
We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention and effective interaction between teachers and learners — because at St. Agnes, every child matters.
Currently in its ninth year of uninterrupted operation, St. Agnes Junior School stands as a dynamic and forward-looking institution that continues to grow from strength to strength. Our diverse community represents over twenty nationalities, making St. Agnes a hub of cultural interaction and inclusion. We are recognized nationally and internationally for our consistent academic excellence, innovation, and holistic approach to education.
We remain committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals through a blend of rigorous academics, vibrant co-curricular activities, and community involvement.
