Founded in 1992, Dinadona Preparatory School initially started in rented premises opposite Kasubi Tombs. It was warmly welcomed by the community, and by the end of 1993, the school had grown to a population of 72 pupils. Originally intended to operate as a Kindergarten, the school expanded in response to requests from parents to offer a primary section.

This decision proved to be a successful one, as the school continued to grow and build a solid reputation. By 1996, Dinadona Preparatory School had made significant progress, purchasing the premises where it operated. Today, the school covers nearly two acres of land and continues to invest in enhancing the learning environment for its students.
