Buwenda Pre-school History
Buwenda Pre-School was the first SPE pre-school, built on land generously gifted by the local community. Construction, supported by donations, overland passengers, and a team of local builders, took two years to complete.
The school comprises three classrooms and an office and is run by three qualified Ugandan teachers and a local cleaner/school assistant. In 2007, the school underwent refurbishment, with ongoing maintenance every year, and Kyabirwa Pre-School was built thereafter, with an additional classroom added in 2013. The headmistress, Florence, has played a central role in creating a happy and successful school environment.
