City Parents’ School Academics

City Parents’ School offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to meet national education standards while fostering holistic development. In the Nursery section, the curriculum follows the Learning Framework for Early Childhood Development (ECD) designed by the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC), focusing on self-care, social interactions, environmental awareness, language development, and early mathematical concepts applied to daily life.

The Primary section adheres to the Uganda National Curriculum with a thematic and subject-based integrated approach. Lower Primary (P1–P3) pupils study English, Numeracy, Literacy I & II, Religious Education, News, Storytelling, Creative Performing Arts, CAPE 1 (Music, Dance & Drama), CAPE 2 (Physical Education), Luganda, and French, while Upper Primary (P4–P7) pupils are taught English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Religious Education, Creative Arts, Physical Education (CAPE), CAPE 1 (Music, Dance & Drama), CAPE 2 (Physical Education), CAPE 3 (Art & Technology), Luganda, and French. The school emphasizes academic excellence while integrating practical and creative skills to ensure pupils are well-prepared for higher education and lifelong learning.

City Parents’ School offers a rich co-curricular program designed to promote holistic development and nurture well-rounded individuals. The school hosts over 20 active societies and clubs, including Scouts, French Club, Performing Arts, Science Club, Mathematics Club, Red Cross, Scripture Union, Environmental Awareness, Life Skills, and the Girl Child Network.

Participation in these clubs fosters discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership among pupils. In addition, the school provides a comprehensive sports program featuring athletics, football, volleyball, netball, woodball, and swimming, encouraging physical fitness, collaboration, and healthy competition.
