About

Curriculum: Uganda National Examinations Board Curriculum (UNEB)

Karoli Lwanga School of Nursing and Midwifery was established in 1971 as the Karoli Lwanga School of Nursing to train enrolled nurses serving at Nyakibale Hospital, its mother institution. Over time, the school expanded its services to other hospitals in the region as well as smaller non-governmental health units. In 1999, the School of Midwifery was established to address maternal and child health issues in Southwestern Uganda. In alignment with the Health Sector Strategic Plan, the Enrolled Comprehensive Nursing Course was introduced in May 2005. The school operates as a department of Karoli Lwanga Hospital and is fully owned by the Kabale Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.
