Currently, the school offers Certificate in Enrolled Nursing and Certificate in Midwifery, designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the healthcare sector. The curriculum combines theory with extensive practical exposure, including clinical placements, to ensure competence in real-world healthcare settings.
Looking ahead, the school plans to expand its offerings with Diploma in Nursing, Diploma in Midwifery, and a Certificate in Laboratory Technology. These programs will broaden students’ career pathways and strengthen their role in healthcare delivery. In addition, supplementary courses such as HIV & AIDS Counseling, Palliative Care Services, and Introduction to Computer are provided to enhance specialized knowledge and skills.

Lyantonde School of Nursing and Midwifery History
Lyantonde School of Nursing & Midwifery was established to respond to the increasing demand of Midwives & Nurses in Uganda , East Africa and the sub-Saharan Africa. The school was conceived in 2012 after a community consultative action that discovered various skill sets that were demanded as a basis to change the lives of economically compromised societies in this part of the world, a people having been undermined by HIV and AIDs pandemic (1982 to date) the second place on planet earth where HIV was identified after 1981 in the US.
Health training courses ranked first and the school was set up and finally licensed by the Ministry of Education and Sports in November, 2016. The products of the school are prepared to be able to serve both locally and internationally in both preventive and care services. Community members, Individuals, families, churches, and government units like Lyantonde Hospital and companies contributed generously and painfully to this cause.
