Curriculum: Uganda National Examinations Board Curriculum (UNEB)

St. Kizito Hospital Matany School of Nursing and Midwifery is a full Board Vocational training School with a vision for quality training of health care staff of high moral and professional standards.
The School, established in October 1984, is located in Matany Sub-county, Napak District, Karamoja sub-region and is fully owned by the Board of Trustees of Moroto Catholic Diocese.

 

St. Kizito Hospital Matany School of Nursing and Midwifery Academics

St. Kizito Hospital Matany School of Nursing and Midwifery runs two programs; Certificate in Comprehensive Nursing, Certificate in Midwifery. The duration of both training courses is 30 months (2½ years). The school accommodates up to 90 students due to the available accommodation, classroom space, clinical area capacity. 40 students are accepted and enrolled every year, including 20 in midwifery and 20 in nursing. Both men and women can apply.

St. Kizito Hospital Matany school of Nursing and Midwifery consists of 3 female students’ hostels and 1 male students’ hostel, Multi-purpose Hall, Library, Skills Lab, Dining Hall, 6 Classrooms, Kitchen, 2 Coaster Buses, Administrative offices and Staff housing. We offer a fully-equipped computer room, with each PC connected to a printer and a scanner. Additionally, the school’s power is maintained, enabling the school to have electricity 100% of the time.

St. Kizito Hospital Matany School of Nursing and Midwifery is a full board vocational training institution with a vision of producing highly skilled healthcare staff of strong moral and professional standards. Established in October 1984, the school is located in Matany Sub-county, Napak District, in the Karamoja sub-region, and is fully owned by the Board of Trustees of Moroto Catholic Diocese. Over the years, the school has become a center of excellence for training competent nurses and midwives dedicated to serving communities in Karamoja and neighboring districts.
