UTC–KI offers programs leading to the award of National and Higher Diplomas in Engineering and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The college emphasizes practical, hands-on training combined with theoretical knowledge to ensure that graduates are equipped with the technical skills and problem-solving capabilities required in the workforce. Programs are aligned with national standards and the requirements of the Uganda Ministry of Education and Sports.

Uganda Technical College – Kichwamba History
UTC–KI is governed under the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act (2003) and its amendments. The institution has a rich history, transitioning from an Artisan Training Centre to a Technical Institute in 1971, and later to a Technical College in 1983. Its mission is to produce highly skilled technical and ICT professionals who contribute to Uganda’s socio-economic development while promoting innovation, discipline, and excellence.
