The Diploma in Bible and Theology is a three-year intensive program covering 42 courses totaling 102 credit hours, emphasizing Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Languages, and Reformed theology.
The institute has also introduced professional certificate courses tailored to modern ministry needs, including Business Management, Project Management, Computer Skills, and Languages such as Professional English, New Testament Greek, Kiswahili, and French. These certificate programs run from six months to two years depending on the course, providing practical skills alongside theological education.
Students at CBIT engage in active church planting, community outreach, and ministry work across East Africa. The institute encourages hands-on experience in pastoral duties, worship leadership, teaching, and evangelism, ensuring graduates are equipped to apply theological knowledge in real-world ministry contexts. Co-curricular programs also strengthen leadership, teamwork, and spiritual growth, fostering servant-leaders who are mission-oriented and capable of addressing the needs of diverse congregations.
CBIT is located in Mbale town along Kumi Road next to Nabuyonga Bridge, providing a conducive learning environment for both local and international students. The institute’s facilities support classroom-based and practical ministry training, ensuring students have access to the resources needed for academic success and hands-on ministry experience.
