Curriculum:

Hamdan Girls’ High School is a private day and boarding “only girls” school located in an Industrial Borough Sub-County, Mbale Municipal Council County, Mbale district, Uganda.

Donated by the Shiekh Hamdan Bin Al Rashid Al-Makhtoum of United Arab Emirates through Munazzamat Al Dawa Al- Islamiyya, Hamdan Girls’ High School is founded on Muslim precepts following the injunctions of the holly Qur’an as well as the traditions of the prophet of Allah Muhammad. Hamdan Girls’ High School is however OPEN to all regardless of one’s religious, cultural or national background.

Hamdan Girls’ High School offers a protective environment to a girl child that enables her to concentrate on her academic career. Morality and academic excellence are our priority. The girl child is empowered with responsibilities that a woman builds and sustains social, economic, technological and political development of communities and nations.

Hamdan Girls’ High School is registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports under Registration Number: PSS/H/44. The school has also the National Examinations centre number for both O’ and A’ level. Students therefore have the convenience to sit their national examinations within the school campus.

 Admissions

[related_posts]Admission at hamdan is highly competetive. Admission slots are only available for S.1, S.2, S.3 and S.5. admissions in S.1 and S.5 for students who sat the Primary Leaving Examinations and Uganda Certificate of Education respectively in Uganda depends on the general performance in the national exams. the admission cut off points are determined after the release of results. Students who choose Hamdan girls high school as their first choice are not subjected to the admission fee and are given first priority. International students can be admitted and can be helped to equate their results with the Uganda National Examinations Board. We have many students hailing from; Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Kenya and Tanzania.

Co – Curricular Activities

Hamdan Girls’ High School provides a variety of games and sports to the students to enable them develop their talents as well as keep them physically and mentally fit throughout their stay at school. Games and sports activities such as net ball, volley ball, badminton, etc are provided. The school participates actively in inter-schools games and sports activities at both district and national levels. The school has several awards won in such competitions.
