Curriculum:

Peter K Gad was founded in the mid 1980’s by Mr. Paul M Wasswa and Mrs. Molly Wasswa whose names are derived from two people of great importance in Mr. wasswa’s Life The name Peter K (Kato) Is the name of his twin brother and Gad a short name of Gadpille an African American who adopted both Uncle Paul and His Brother Peter, Took them to school, nurtured and turned them into a somebody.

Academics

The school has been in existence for about 27 years and school runs from Baby class of children aged 3years up to primary 7 about 11-12 years of age. The school head teacher is Mr. Martin Ssendawula who joined the school in April 2010.

The school educates orphans and children from very poor backgrounds from many neighboring villages like Kitovu, Ssenyange, Buchuro among others on a free basis, and about 70% of the children on a half bursary system for those who can manage to pay half way of the total school fees.

Most of the children who have passed through PKG have successfully completed their Primary Leaving examinations with either a first or second grade with very few passing in third grade. The school is among the best performing schools in Masaka municipality.

We mainly aim at:
• To provide affordable quality education to the orphans and the poor community.
• To provide a home for the homeless and hope for those without hope.
• To minister love to the orphaned children who have no one to love them.
The school also operates a farm engaging in Crop growing with piggery farming, Cows, and now Poultry keeping which the school has just adopted In February 2012 with 200 Layer chicks.
