Bethel International Christian School Academics

BICS offers a comprehensive, biblically based curriculum designed to meet international learning standards while addressing individual learning styles. From Kindergarten to High School, our program integrates Christian values across all subjects, ensuring a holistic education. In Kindergarten (ages 4–5), children develop social and academic readiness through interactive learning. Junior High students are challenged to achieve excellence during their transitional years, while High School students work toward a High School Diploma over four years, preparing for university through SATs and planned future options.

We use acclaimed programs like SAXON Mathematics for concept development and computational skills, alongside Abeka and Bob Jones for Reading, Literature, Science, Language, Penmanship, Spelling, Social Studies, and Art. Bible instruction, including scripture memorization and engaging activities, is woven into every subject, fostering a deep connection to God. Small class sizes allow teachers to provide personalized attention, challenging gifted students and supporting those needing extra guidance.

At BICS, we believe that development extends beyond the textbook. Music and Art are not merely extra-curricular activities but are integrated into the curriculum, with research showing their strong correlation with improved learning abilities. Students receive weekly guidance to expand their mastery of music and song, and learn age-appropriate art concepts, expressing themselves through various media.

Our Extra-Curricular Activities place strong emphasis on Physical Education and games, recognizing the link between physical activity and academic success. A notable feature is our swimming program, which is specifically designed to ensure all students develop skill and confidence in swimming and diving, alongside vital water safety and survival techniques.

We are continually striving to provide the best resources to support our students’ development. Students have full use of our well-stocked School Library for research and reading. Our dedicated ICT Lab is available for children to improve essential typing and computer skills. We are excited about our commitment to future growth: a Science Lab is currently in development, trusting in God as our provider. We offer a safe, caring, and inspiring learning environment designed to stimulate every boy and girl and provide the skills they need to discover their God-given potential.

Bethel International Christian School History

The Bethel International Christian School journey began in February 2006, when the Lord inspired a vision to create a learning environment where students could excel academically while growing spiritually. We opened the doors of Bethel Christian Academy (now BICS) with just six children in the early grades, and have faithfully added one grade level each successive year.

Our Vision is to ‘Generate excellently trained students prepared to fulfil God’s purpose,’ and our Mission is ‘To create a pervasive Christian culture while maintaining high academic standards for all students regardless of levels of ability.’ Every member of our dedicated Christian staff views teaching as a wonderful opportunity for ministry, laboring to inculcate God’s truth in the hearts and minds of our students as we seek to nurture all four areas of development: spiritual, social, academic, and physical (Luke 2:52).
