Established by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa under the leadership of Mother Mary Kevin Kearney (O.S.F) in 1936, the school was founded to expand access to quality education for the girl child.

Over the years, it has grown into one of the most respected primary schools in Uganda, with a current population of 1,082 pupils, 36 teachers, and 72 support staff. The school has consistently excelled in academics, particularly in the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), where it remains one of the top-performing institutions in Mukono District and Uganda as a whole.
