Curriculum:

Teso College Aloet is an all boy’s school founded on July 9, 1954 by the Teso District local administration. Aloet is the Original name of the township in which the school is built.

Teso College Aloet is located on 1,500 acres of land, and is graced with a fine environment, surrounded with a forest of 10,000 pine trees. It is located N.E of Soroti town along Soroti – Moroto road. Teso College Aloet is 10 minutes drive and 8 kilometres from Soroti town. Teso College Aloet is found in Arapai Sub-County of Soroti District.

The School has two wings the East and West wing. The West wing houses about 500 senior 1 and senior 2 students. The West wing initially belonged to Soroti Technical School.

In 1962 the Technical school was phased out and the infrastructure was acquired by Teso College. The east wing houses 800 senior 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. It is also the location of the main administrative offices. Teso College Aloet has graduated over 30,000 students since its inception.

Teso College Aleot Academics

Inspired by a vision to grow into a centre of excellence in the east for the enhancement of educational opportunities for sustainable development, the school has continued to maintain the spirit to “serve and obey” in its students. Renown among the old students of Teso College Aloet is the current Bank of Uganda Governor, Mr. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile, former Army Commander Lt. Gen. Jeje Odongo, Soroti Municipality MP Capt. Mike Mukula and the Deputy Premier, Gen. Moses Ali.

Teso College Aleot Facilities

Teso College Aloet School has facilities among them are the halls of residence named in memory of Engwau, a renowned Judge hailing from Teso, Jones J.E, the first headteacher, Stephen Besweri Akabway, the first indigenous headteacher, former President of Kenya, Jommo Kenyatta and Patrice Lumumba, DR Congo prime minister. Teso College Aloet has its own dining hall, dormitories, classrooms and playgrounds. The Catholic and Protestants chapels are located in the West wing as is the sickbay. The closest Hospital is located in Soroti Town, about 8 kilometers away.
