Curriculum:

The University of Nairobi, established by an Act of Parliament (Cap 210 of the Laws of Kenya), is a distinguished institution that has significantly shaped university education in Kenya and the region.

As the first institution of higher learning in Kenya, it has continuously addressed the high-level manpower training needs of the nation, region, and Africa by developing robust and diverse academic programs.

University of Nairobi was Launched in February 2005, the UoNAA brings together graduates to participate in the governance and development of their alma mater. The association fosters socialization, networking, and collaboration among alumni, enhancing their connection to the university.

Mission and Vision

Mission: To safeguard the best interests of its members and support the University of Nairobi in achieving international distinction in quality teaching, research, and service.
Vision: To be a leader in promoting active, visible leadership in the community and to foster interaction between alumni, students, and industry.

University of Nairobi Academics

The University of Nairobi offers approximately 200 programs across various disciplines, including sciences, applied sciences, technology, humanities, social sciences, and the arts. These programs are designed to cater to the diverse needs of students and the demands of the job market.

Through its Module II (continuing education) programs, the University provides invaluable opportunities for Kenyans and non-Kenyans who meet university admission requirements but cannot access regular programs due to limited government resource allocation. These self-sponsored programs have expanded access to higher education, enabling many more students to pursue their academic goals.
