Kakunyu School is an inclusive educational institution in Uganda dedicated to supporting children with intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties. Established in 2005, the school began in a modest two-room house and has grown into a recognized model for inclusive education. Its mission is to foster cognitive, social, and emotional development within a caring and respectful environment. Owned by the Kakunyu Parents Association and supported internationally by Friends of Kakunyu School in the UK, the school emphasizes holistic child development. Kakunyu provides an educational pathway where every child is valued and nurtured according to their unique needs.
