The Cradle is a 24-hour childcare service company that partners with organizations to support working mothers. We provide safe, nurturing, and accessible childcare and lactation spaces at or near the workplace for infants and toddlers between 0 and 48 months of age.
At The Cradle, our vision is to create a Uganda where women can fully maximize their potential both as professionals and as mothers. We believe that no woman should have to choose between a thriving career and enjoying motherhood.
By offering safe and convenient childcare and lactation spaces, we empower women to actively contribute to our country’s governance, economy, and democratic processes without compromise. Since opening our doors in June 2014, we have impacted over 500 middle-class working families in Kampala, offering flexible solutions that benefit employers, parents, and children through onsite, near-site, and offsite centers across major districts in Uganda.
Our programs are specifically designed to cater to the developmental needs of young children. We have divided our curriculum into four age groups:
0-12 months
13-24 months
25-36 months
37-48 months
Using Uganda’s first indigenous 4-part infant play curriculum, we employ child brain stimulation techniques that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and innovative problem-solving. This approach not only prepares our little ones for school but also equips them for the competitive world ahead. Our academic offerings are available under six flexible packages tailored to meet the unique needs of every child.
At The Cradle, learning extends beyond structured academics. Our enriched environment offers a variety of play-based and interactive activities that stimulate the mind and body. These activities are designed to:
Foster creativity and imaginative play
Encourage social interactions and teamwork
Support physical development through movement-based activities
Enhance problem-solving skills through engaging challenges
By integrating these elements into our daily routine, we ensure that each child enjoys a balanced development experience.
