Curriculum:

London Bridge Islamic Nursery and Primary School is a unique educational project that combines both nursery and primary education. The school is dedicated to welcoming, supporting, and integrating families and orphans who have lost their parents, homes, or other forms of support. It stands as a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable members of the community.

As a registered charity under Uganda’s Wakiso District (Registration No. 187142) and in the UK, the school accepts donations of both financial and material resources. Operating under the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, the school aims to uplift the standards of primary education, particularly for underprivileged boys and girls, including orphans in the area.

The school has developed strong partnerships with local villagers and the government, ensuring that its work is sustainable and impactful. The model focuses on private ownership and community collaboration, with the goal of scaling the project to reach as many children as possible. By the 2018 academic year, the school aimed to enroll over 1,000 pupils, providing quality education to children in need.

London Bridge Islamic Nursery and Primary School is not only benefiting parents and pupils in the local district but also making a significant contribution to the country’s educational landscape by providing accessible and affordable education. Additionally, it generates employment opportunities for the local community.

Main Goal:

The school aims to promote education and raise community awareness to enhance sustainable development throughout the region and Uganda at large. The need for a nursery and primary school for orphans and needy children, who often walk long distances to attend school, was recognized by both the local community and the school’s founders. Many of these children have lost their parents to AIDS and are left without support, making this school a critical resource for their future.
