Curriculum:

Muvule Academy, established in 2015, provides a dynamic and individualized education to children in the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda. The school was founded by a group of educators who aimed to offer an alternative, child-centered approach to education. With an emphasis on personal attention and character development, Muvule Academy has grown rapidly and is now recognized for its high-quality early childhood education and expanding programs.

We began as a kindergarten in Entebbe, Uganda, and has since evolved into a comprehensive educational institution. The school’s philosophy focuses on creating a learning environment where children’s needs, interests, and developmental stages guide their education, rather than simply their age.

The academy fosters a sense of integrity, responsibility, and community involvement among its students, and the school is now known as Muvule Academy Kindergarten and Junior School, reflecting its growth into a junior school in 2020. The academy is committed to delivering personalized and rigorous education while nurturing the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.

Muvule Academy Academics

The academy offers a well-rounded early childhood education curriculum designed to support holistic development. The curriculum is tailored to children’s developmental stages, interests, and needs rather than their age alone. Programs include: Little Stems (2–3 years), which focuses on language development, motor skills, and foundational life skills through activities such as Circle Time and Free Flow Time; Buds (3–4 years), which emphasizes pre-academic skills in literacy, math, and science while promoting creativity, problem-solving, and social collaboration; and Flowers (4–5 years), which prepares children for formal schooling by developing literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills through inquiry-based learning and small group activities.

Muvule Academy Co-curricular

Muvule Academy integrates a range of extracurricular activities that complement its academic programs, encouraging children to explore their talents and interests. These include Music Exploration, which allows children to experiment with sounds and movement; Arts and Crafts, fostering creativity through jewelry making, crafts, and painting; Physical Education, focusing on motor skills, fitness, and teamwork; Water Confidence/Swimming, which enhances physical fitness and water safety; and a variety of clubs offered each term, such as cooking, French, African dance, and sports exploration. These activities provide hands-on learning experiences and help children develop essential life skills.
