Curriculum: Uganda National Examinations Board Curriculum (UNEB)

Turkish Light Academy was established in 2007 and shortly after, it began the construction of a gigantic and massive block of hostels meant to accommodate the state of the art hostel facilities for the accommodation of the students. The hostel construction was financed by Keskin family.

Turkish Light Academy Academics

Turkish light Academy Uganda was the 12th in the overall 2009 Uganda National Exams Board’s results with the best having 8 point in eight subjects according to the New vision analysis with the average passing of the students being 87.5{ef36650c7daf862a8f4b361a0da92b5d4bd5fe9c50d07f90e54ef9945bea217c}. And currently it is the best foreign-owned school in the country.

Turkish Light Academy offers the Uganda national development center (NCDC) curriculum. Both the ordinary and Advanced level leavers are assessed using the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).

Turkish Light Academy Co-curricular

Sports activities include; Zonal football competition and reached the district level, Rugby district tournament and reached quarters, Inter house games in football, rugby, basketball, volleyball and table tennis.  Inter house games continued, sports day where field events took place.

Rugby continued between schools in Wakiso district, inter classes’ football and rugby tournament, with F.5 sci. and F.5 arts winning respectively. We organize trips to turkey for our parents around August – September. Organize picnic for student’s class by class every weekend.

The hostels have the capacity of about 440 students but only 384 below are allowed in the hostel with each hostel accommodation only sixteen students.
