Curriculum: Uganda National Examinations Board Curriculum (UNEB)

Beyond Youth Sports Academy is a Ugandan nonprofit organization dedicated to using sports as a transformative tool to empower children and youth. Founded in 2009, the academy focuses on providing opportunities for young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to discover and develop their talents.

The program is led by Mr. Kayiwa Fred, the current Uganda Youth Football Association Publicity Secretary, and is supported by a team of active sportsmen and women, environmentalists, social workers, and sports enthusiasts.

Beyond Youth Sports Academics

While primarily a sports-focused organization, Beyond Youth Sports Academy integrates personal development, life skills, and environmental education into its programs. Participants are guided on teamwork, discipline, leadership, and community engagement.

The academy also emphasizes the importance of sanitation and environmental conservation, using sports as a platform to teach practical skills and values that extend beyond the playing field.

Beyond Youth Sports Co-curricular

The academy offers a wide range of sports-related activities designed to nurture talent and build confidence among children aged 5 to 18. Both boys and girls are encouraged to participate, with programs tailored to improve skills in soccer, athletics, and other team sports.

Beyond Youth Sports also engages participants in competitions, tournaments, and community events, giving them exposure and opportunities to showcase their abilities while fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

Beyond Youth Sports Facilities

Located in Uganda’s Central Region, the academy provides access to safe and structured training environments suitable for children and youth. Beyond Youth Sports collaborates with various sports organizations nationwide to ensure that participants benefit from well-organized sporting events, quality coaching, and exposure to competitive platforms.

The academy’s facilities are designed to foster both athletic development and holistic growth, including programs that support physical fitness, teamwork, and environmental awareness.

Beyond Youth Sports History

Beyond Youth Sports Academy is registered and fully affiliated with the Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) under the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and other national sports federations in Uganda.

The academy has grown from an initial group of six children to enrolling youth from across the country, including orphans and children from both disadvantaged and advantaged backgrounds. Its mission is to identify, nurture, and promote talent while creating joyful experiences that positively shape the lives of young people.
