7 Hills International School is dedicated to providing a safe and stimulating educational environment for its students. The school offers a project-based, interdisciplinary approach to learning, designed to engage students in their academic, fine arts, and sports programs. With a focus on personal development and intellectual growth, the school emphasizes practical, real-world learning experiences.

The school’s curriculum is based on the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), a framework specifically designed for 11-14-year-olds, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. 7 Hills aims to foster curiosity and lifelong learning, helping students to become independent, reflective thinkers with a strong sense of moral values. As a growing institution, the school continues to expand, offering a full range of secondary education from Years 7 to 13.

The school’s academic program is rooted in the IMYC, which organizes learning around six-week units exploring “big ideas” that connect subjects and promote deeper understanding. Students engage in project-based learning, working collaboratively and independently to explore complex concepts. The curriculum is further enriched by the integration of technology, with all students receiving laptops and access to Google Classroom for enhanced learning.

Robotics is included in the Science curriculum, and the school is adopting the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) for Years 10 and 11, preparing students for internationally recognized exams. This program maintains the same emphasis on active, project-based learning, ensuring that students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. The school is proud of its recent IGCSE results, where students demonstrated outstanding progress and achievements in key subjects.

7 Hills International School-Kampala welcomed it’s first class, Years 7 and 8 in August 2017, with the maximum of 20 students per class. As a non-profit NGO, 7 Hills International School-Kampala will continually re-invest its profits into the school, to allow for its growth. Starting with the addition of Yr 9 in 2018, Yr 10 and Yr 11 in 2019, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program for Yr 12 and Yr 13 in 2021. By 2023, 7 Hills International School-Kampala will have housed on its own campus secondary years 7 through 13.

7 Hills International School has a Mission “To inspire our children to reach their full potential by fostering curiosity and an interest in learning, awakening their minds and illuminating their world”. and a Vision “To create an affordable International secondary school with a high standard of education where children learn through practical work and project-based learning. To develop our students’ moral and intellectual capacity, and to encourage creativity and adaptability”. under the Aim “To provide an education that is broad, balanced, and challenging, with an emphasis on developing strong connections to our host country, Uganda”.
