Kennedy Secondary School, located just outside Entebbe, Uganda, is a vibrant mixed day and boarding secondary school serving 1,026 students, most of whom are boarders. Our sprawling campus, with its sandy-colored stone pathways, elegant iron and woodwork lattices, and diverse architecture ranging from whitewashed concrete to red brick buildings, creates a unique atmosphere blending functionality with faded grandeur.

As a beneficiary of the Ngamba Island outreach program, we provide students with enriching experiences like wildlife documentaries from the Great Ape Film Initiative and visits to Ngamba Island, fostering environmental awareness and global perspectives. Committed to holistic education, Kennedy Secondary School empowers students to excel academically, develop leadership skills, and engage with conservation efforts that shape responsible citizens for Uganda’s future.

Kennedy Secondary School Academics

Kennedy Secondary School offers a broad, comprehensive curriculum encompassing Arts, Sciences, Vocational, and Business subjects at both O-Level and A-Level, aligned with the Ugandan National Curriculum. At O-Level, students study English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Geography, History, Commerce, Political Education, Accounts, Christian Religious Education (C.R.E.), Entrepreneurship, Fine Art, and Computer Studies.

For A-Level, our offerings include General Paper (G.P.), History, Geography, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Literature, C.R.E., Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Fine Art, and Computer Studies. Our dedicated faculty employs interactive teaching methods in our diverse classroom settings, preparing students for national examinations while integrating real-world applications like conservation education through our Ngamba Island partnership.

Kennedy Secondary School Co-curricular

At Kennedy Secondary School, co-curricular activities are mandatory, with every student required to actively participate in at least two programs to promote balanced development. Our sports offerings include athletics, football, volleyball, basketball, and rugby, alongside assorted indoor games that build teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness (activities like karate and gambling are strictly prohibited).

Diverse clubs and societies such as Youth for Social Change (YSC), Scripture Union, Debate, Drama, Press, Peace, Wildlife, Young Farmers, Brass Band, Red Cross, Scouts, and Youth Alive nurture leadership, creativity, spiritual growth, and community engagement. Through our Ngamba Island outreach, students participate in conservation education, documentaries, and field trips, broadening their environmental awareness and global citizenship.

Kennedy Secondary School’s distinctive campus creates an inspiring learning environment with its sandy-colored stone pathways, elegant iron and woodwork lattices, and diverse architectural styles ranging from whitewashed concrete to red brick buildings. Our classrooms and laboratories support comprehensive O-Level and A-Level learning across Arts, Sciences, Vocational, and Business subjects. Dormitories accommodate our predominantly boarding student population, fostering community.

Sports fields host athletics, football, volleyball, basketball, and rugby, while club spaces support drama, debate, music, and conservation activities. The campus’s unique drains, brick dust piles, and occasional chickens add character to our functional, vibrant educational setting.
