French School Runda (EFR) is a vibrant, multicultural institution located in Nairobi. Since opening in September 2021, it has steadily grown into a diverse learning community. Initially, the school welcomed ten students, and now, nearly forty elementary learners attend. Rooted in the French education system, EFR offers a nurturing and dynamic environment tailored to individual student needs.

Founded with the support of seven families, EFR has expanded steadily thanks to the confidence and enthusiasm of the broader community. The faculty includes experienced French and English-speaking educators, one of whom specializes in French as a foreign language. In addition, an English teacher delivers both English and science classes, while music and tennis coaches enhance the school’s artistic and athletic offerings.

Our approach blends compassion with academic rigor. Teachers personalize instruction to suit each student’s learning pace, personality, and multicultural background. Through strong partnerships with families, we foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere where all children feel valued. Although our facilities are modest, they include classrooms, an outdoor study area, a canteen, a recess zone, and a vegetable garden.

Additionally, our UPE2A class supports students new to the French language, helping them integrate smoothly into the mainstream curriculum.

The academic program includes core subjects such as mathematics, literacy, science, and technology. Physical education classes focus on teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. While children learn in small groups, they also benefit from individual attention. Through this holistic approach, students develop essential academic skills alongside confidence and independence.

Furthermore, clubs such as piano, guitar, dance, knitting, DIY crafts, and singing are available during breaks or after lunch. These programs combine fun with skill-building, promoting both creativity and collaboration. Theatre remains one of our most beloved programs. Each year, students perform a full play for a live audience, offering a platform for artistic expression and public speaking.
