Strathmore University began in 1961 as Strathmore College, a multiracial Sixth Form College offering Arts and Sciences. Inspired by Saint Josemaría Escrivá, it later introduced Accountancy programs and expanded into professional training. In 1993, it merged with Kianda College and moved to Madaraka. Supported by the EU and Italian Government, it grew into a co-educational institution offering diverse academic and professional courses.
