Mbale School of Nursing and Midwifery is a private, Christian health training institution founded in 2010 by members of Global Revival Evangelistic Ministries (GREM), in the school’s own words “a dream made possible through sharing with other Christians” to address a shortage of healthcare workers in the region and serve the poor, young and elderly. Fully registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council under its Faith-Based category, the school states its vision as building “a reputable Christian health institution committed to improving the lives of communities by providing quality health services in the region.”

Students complete clinical placements connected to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital, and beyond the classroom take part in community outreach — running health camps and awareness campaigns in surrounding villages.

The campus includes an administration block housing offices and practical laboratories, modern classroom structures, a computer room, a dining facility, dormitories, and space for sports and games.

2010 — Founded by Global Revival Evangelistic Ministries, starting with 53 students.
2023 — Enrolment had grown to over 1,200 students; the school graduated 1,390 students in a single ceremony that year, including certificate and diploma holders in both nursing and midwifery, with Wilson Owere, Chairperson of Uganda’s National Organisation of Trade Unions, attending as guest of honour.
