St Agnes Primary School History

St. Agnes Primary School is a Catholic-founded girls’ school managed by the Little Sisters of St. Francis. It began in 1922 as a catechetical school teaching girls catechism, reading, arithmetic, writing, and housekeeping, with the goal of preparing them for domestic responsibilities and spiritual growth. In 1960, it became a formal school and in 1967 it transitioned into a co-educational institution. The school is purely a boarding school and has a longstanding tradition of nurturing girls into God-fearing, morally upright, and academically competent citizens. St. Agnes emphasizes Christian values, holistic development, and academic excellence, fostering a supportive environment where pupils are guided to embrace challenges, build lifelong friendships, and develop their talents.
