In the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination, the Najjanankumbi campus recorded 51 Division One results among 82 candidates, a 62% Division One rate. In the 2023 PLE, Najjanankumbi was placed 82nd in Kampala’s published Top 100 school ranking, with 45 Division One and 33 Division Two results.

Train Up A Child Nursery and Primary School offers a vibrant array of co-curricular activities to complement academic learning and promote well-rounded development. Each year, we organize educational tours to exciting destinations such as the Zoo, the Airport, forestry areas, game parks, waterfalls, and the source of the Nile, providing students with enriching real-world experiences.

Weekly swimming sessions promote physical fitness and confidence. Our Music, Dance, and Drama program celebrates cultural heritage from around the world, allowing students to express their creativity. Additionally, we offer a variety of sports and games, including football and basketball, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle. These activities ensure students develop both socially and physically while enjoying a dynamic school experience.

The Bugolobi campus includes a library, a computer laboratory, dormitories, spacious classrooms, a reading corner, indoor and outdoor play areas, and a sickbay with first-aid support. The school runs weekly swimming sessions and educational tours to destinations including the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, game parks, and the Source of the Nile, and has equipped classrooms across its Bugolobi and Najjanankumbi campuses with more than 50 smart boards.

Train Up A Child Nursery and Primary School History

• 1995 — Founded as a nursery school by Bishop Peter Mutebi and Rebecca Mutebi in Bugolobi, starting with 51 children.
• 2003 — Registered as a fully-fledged primary school with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
• 2011 — The school’s main multi-storey building, housing a library, computer laboratory and pupil dormitories, was substantially complete; boarding was introduced around this period.
• 2018 — Competed in national school swimming, placing 7th at the USF Midland National Primary Schools Gala and 11th at the Independence Gala.
• 2019 — Najjanankumbi campus established, followed later by Bunamwaya and Hillside High International.
