Uganda School for the Deaf Academics

Uganda School for the Deaf offers primary education with pre-vocation skills in Carpentry, Tailoring, Home Sciences, and Agricultural Practice. The school also plans to introduce Computer Training – ICT and is doing their best to cover the national curriculum using total communication with the bias of sign language.

Uganda School for the Deaf Co-curricular

These activities cover social issues and study life of the Deaf pupils, their education, culture and leisure. At Ugandan School for the Deaf, the children are divided into lower nursery, upper nursery, and primary one to seven, classes. The children also learn Mat Making, Weaving, Cookery, Knitting, Hand Sewing, Machine Sewing, Crocheting and Carpentry.

Uganda School for the Deaf Facilities

Uganda School for the Deaf facilities includes 4 dormitories, 15 class rooms, a kitchen, and a dining hall. In addition, there is a carpentry workshop, a home science room, a library, and an Audiology room where Audio-grams are taken.

There are enough sanitation facilities at the school. The health facilities are within easy reach of the school since the school is located just 100 metres away from Ntinda trading centre.
