Greenvlle High School is a mixed boarding senior secondary established by well focused and progressive entrepreneurs with impeccable reputation and experience in secondary school institutions and management.

Greenvlle High School is set in a serene, out of town environment campus at Takajjunge village, 3 miles north of Mukono town, Uganda on Bugerere road.

Background

Greenville High school was founded in 1997. It is an institution with facilities for excellent teaching, study and co-curricular activities. It provides an environment where well rounded characters can be developed. It is open to all individuals, regardless of nationality, religious affiliation or gender.

Vision and Mission: To provide and maintain high quality education in conducive, homely and Christian environment.

Objectives

1. To impart balanced christian education to young people at Ordinary and Advanced levels, in sciences or arts. The syllabus is integrated with intellectual and vocational skills to develop work.
2. To provide an integral holistic learning of experience to young people that will promote objective, independent, holistic and creative thinking within the individual.
3. To enable students benefit from some formative education training in a peri-urban setting.
4. To offer a multi-faced educational curriculum which caters for the intellectual, moral and vocational development needs of learners in the COMESA region.
5. To avail both O and A level education in the sciences and humanities.
6. To enable the child to benefit from a secure all round education.
7. To enable students learn in a home friendly environment.

Curriculum

Greenville High school offers both O and A level education. It also provides vocational skills.

O’Level Subjects: CRE, English, Mathematics, Biology, Geography, History, Chemistry, Commerce, Fine Art, Agriculture, Physics, French, Accounts, Islamic, Computer, Technical Drawing and Health Science.

A’Level Subjects: History, Geography, economics, CRE, Fine Art, Literature, General Paper, Mathematics, Physics, Kiswahili, Chemistry, biology, French, Islamic, agriculture and Food Nutrition.

Vocational Education: Piano, Typing, computer Science and Technical Drawing.

Admission at Greenville High school is based on either written exams or quality of results of examinations done previously at whatever level. for international students the results should meet the Uganda National Examinations Board – Uganda minimum grading equivalent. every new student should meet all the registration requirements as spelt out in the application forms.

Facilities

1. Accommodation: Greenville High School is a boarding school for both boys and girls with well-furnished dormitories. accommodation is provided for all students though they must provide their own bedding and personal items. The school grounds are well secure within a perimeter wall and all round security.
2. Meals: The school administration believes that a healthy mind sits in a healthy body and that the child needs a balanced diet to grow well and excel academically.
3. Health Service: The school runs a dispensary which takes care of start up medical attention for both students and staff with a visiting docotor. But acute cases are transferred to either Kibuli or Mulago hospitals in Kampala city.
4. Science Laboratory: The school lab is well equipped and caters for o and A level students taking sciences. A computer lab with internet connectivity is available for students use.
5. Library And Classrooms: The school has a well equipped library with an assortment of learning materials. The classrooms are roomy with student learning friendly furniture.
6. Nature Of Staff: Greenville High School is run by highly trained and well motivated staff, seasoned and parental in approach.
