Mak-Jolly Kindergarten, Primary and Daycare is a nurturing haven dedicated to fostering young minds in Kiryandongo, Uganda. Established in February 2012 with just eight children, the school has grown to serve 219 students aged 3 to 11 years, providing a supportive atmosphere that nourishes imagination and instills self-confidence. Guided by our motto, “Determination and Faith a Key to Success,” we offer a God-fearing environment where children thrive through holistic growth and development. Our programs cater to diverse needs, including sponsorships for orphans supported by friends and well-wishers from within Uganda and abroad. With a commitment to early education’s critical role, Mak-Jolly ensures every child receives personalized attention in a low teacher-to-pupil ratio setting, empowering them to build a strong foundation for lifelong success.
Mak-Jolly Kindergarten, Primary and Daycare delivers a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to enrich the vital early stages of growth. Our classes include Play Group, Baby Class, Middle Class, Top Class, and Primary One through Five, accommodating children from ages 3 to 11. The program emphasizes foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, social development, and creativity through engaging, child-centered activities.
With a low teacher-to-pupil ratio and limited class sizes, each child receives individualized attention tailored to their unique needs. Our experienced staff, now numbering nine teachers plus 12 support personnel, ensures high-quality instruction. We also prioritize inclusivity, offering sponsorships for orphans to access education, fostering a sense of community and opportunity for all learners.
At Mak-Jolly, we complement academics with enriching co-curricular activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development in a joyful, God-fearing environment. Daily routines include nutritious tea, porridge, and meals to fuel young bodies, supporting active participation in play-based learning and exploration. Outdoor and indoor activities encourage imagination, teamwork, and self-confidence, while our transport services—via minivan, car, and motorbike—serve 26 villages, ensuring safe and timely pickups from 6:00 AM to 7:20 AM. These elements create a well-rounded experience, helping children develop resilience, faith, and determination as they grow.
Mak-Jolly’s facilities prioritize safety, comfort, and learning in a spacious and welcoming setting. The nursery operates from temporary structures, while the 2015 brick building houses Primary 1 to 5 classes. We rent dedicated rooms for office administration and computer education, fostering early digital literacy. Nutritious meals, including tea or porridge, support daily routines, and our transport fleet—a minivan, car, and motorbike—provides reliable service across 26 villages. These resources, combined with limited class sizes, ensure a personalized and enriching experience for all children.
Founded in February 2012 with a humble start of eight children, Mak-Jolly Kindergarten, Primary and Daycare has blossomed into a vital educational hub serving 219 students. Initially operating from temporary structures, the school constructed a brick building in 2015 for Primary 1 to 5, though it remains under completion. Renting two rooms—one for administration and one for computers—demonstrates our commitment to resourcefulness and growth. From its inception, Mak-Jolly has prioritized a nurturing, faith-based atmosphere, expanding classes and staff to meet rising demand while offering sponsorships for orphans, reflecting our dedication to accessible education for all.
Mak-Jolly aspires to complete its facilities and expand programs, becoming a model institution in Kiryandongo that empowers every child through determination and faith. We envision sustained growth, more sponsorships for vulnerable learners, and enhanced resources to prepare students for future academic success. By maintaining a low teacher-to-pupil ratio and inclusive approach, we aim to produce confident, self-reliant individuals who contribute positively to their communities and beyond.
