Curriculum:

Nyero PEAS High School is located in the Nyero Sub-County of Kumi District in Eastern Uganda, close to Lake Bisina. The school was opened in January 2013, making it one of the four schools opened through the continued partnership between PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools) and Ark (Absolute Return for Kids) last year.

When Nyero PEAS High School was opened last year, 177 students initially enrolled. In just over a year we have seen a great increase in the student population – there are now over 700 students enrolled in the school. We are also very pleased that a great proportion of these students (47%) are girls. We are hopeful and confident that these encouraging early trends continue as the school builds a positive and productive reputation with the [related_posts]local community.
