Hana international School Academics

Hana International School is unique in offering students a choice between two renowned curricular options, ensuring that academic pathways are as unique as the students we serve. Both programs are designed to challenge, inspire, and empower students for futures that span borders and possibilities.

  • UNEB Curriculum: This curriculum aligns with Uganda’s national standards, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in UCE and UACE exams. It focuses strongly on core subjects—Mathematics, Sciences, Languages, and Humanities—preparing students for top Ugandan universities while fostering pride in Ugandan values and a commitment to community development.
  • Cambridge International Curriculum: This curriculum offers a globally recognized education, combining rigorous academics with real-world skills. Students sit for internationally recognized Cambridge International Examinations at the end of their tenure, including IGSCE (O’ Level) and GCE (A’ Level) examinations in May/June, and GCE (AS Level) in October/November. This path promotes critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness, paving the way to top universities worldwide with a personalized learning approach.

Hana international School Co-curricular

HISU provides a broad spectrum of co-curricular activities to nurture talents, teamwork, and personal growth. Students participate in sports including football, basketball, netball, volleyball, swimming, badminton, table tennis, and pool. Mind games such as chess, scrabble, and darts are also encouraged. Both competitive training and inclusive participation ensure that every student finds a sport or activity they enjoy.

Other activities, including arts, music, and drama, provide avenues for creative expression, while inter-house and inter-school competitions develop leadership, teamwork, and resilience.
