Curriculum:

New Horizon School aims to offer a “new horizon” to children whose outlook on the future may be limited. Founded in 2006 by Noah’s Ark Children’s Ministry Uganda, the school began with a few primary classes and has since expanded to include a full Nursery School, Primary School, and a Secondary Vocational School. The school serves children from the ministry’s children’s home as well as from surrounding villages, focusing on creating opportunities for a brighter future.

At New Horizon School, learning is age-appropriate and developmentally guided. Children start Nursery at three years old, where learning is achieved primarily through play rather than rote memorization. Primary education runs from P1 to P7, preparing students for further studies. The school also offers secondary vocational education, a unique combination in Uganda, which allows students to gain hands-on experience in practical skills alongside their academic studies. This approach ensures that learners are both intellectually and practically prepared for the future.
