Curriculum:

Apuuton Primary School was established by the Mill Hill Missionaries in 1939 and has carried the name Apuuton since 1962, which means “sandy soil” in Ateso. The school serves 1,555 pupils from Grades 1 to 7. It has grown steadily with the support of the local community and education stakeholders. Apuuton is committed to providing quality education despite infrastructural challenges. The school emphasizes both academic growth and moral development for its students.

The school follows Uganda’s national primary curriculum, preparing students for Primary 7 national examinations. Teachers deliver instruction in core subjects including literacy, numeracy, and life skills. Apuuton Primary has 26 teachers and 13 classrooms, with four classrooms recently constructed to accommodate growing enrollment. The school aims to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for learning. Academic progress is supported despite limited resources and ongoing infrastructure needs.
