Curriculum:
Founded by the Catholic Church in 1939 with 28 students and 2 teachers, Buseesa Primary School has grown significantly and now enrolls 439 students from Primary 1 through Primary 7. The school is staffed by 8 teachers and operates in 16 permanent classrooms.
A small boarding section has been introduced to support academic performance in Primary 7, currently accommodating 9 boarders who contribute 40 kg of maize flour and 20 cups of beans.
Key challenges include insufficient staff, lack of staff housing, limited electricity, and inadequate instructional materials. Engagement from local parents in school activities is also low. The Head Teacher envisions development projects such as coffee farming, poultry, piggery, and cattle rearing on school grounds. However, realizing these projects requires additional funding beyond current school resources.
