Kaleu Primary School History

Kaleu Primary School was established in 2008 by local parents and community members in response to the need for accessible education in the remote Bukedea district of Eastern Uganda. Situated 32 kilometres from Kumi Town, the school was founded to provide children in the area with the opportunity to receive a quality education despite the challenges posed by its location. In 2010, Kaleu Primary School came under government supervision and was identified for support by Build Africa Uganda and other non-governmental organizations. With sustained assistance from these partners, the school has steadily grown, constructing new classrooms and installing a borehole to provide safe, sustainable water for the students.
