Mbarara Junior School is a Grade One mixed day and boarding nursery and primary school located just 2 km from Mbarara City Centre, along the Ishaka–Bushenyi Road, after Mbarara High School and St. James Cathedral Ruharo. Established in 1911 under the Church of Uganda foundation, the school became government-aided in 1952. With a dedicated staff of 42 teachers and 32 technical personnel, the school continues to provide holistic education guided by its mission “To Give Equal and Quality Education.” Mbarara Junior School prides itself on its diverse student community, enrolling learners from across East Africa including Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan.
