St. Joseph’s Vocational School, located in Mbarara town, Western Uganda, is a private boarding institution dedicated to providing holistic education for young Catholic boys. Founded in 1980 by Bishop Emeritus J.B. Kakubi with support from the White Fathers of the Missionaries of Africa, the school was envisioned as a center for nurturing responsible future leaders.

At O-Level, students undergo a four-year course covering core subjects such as Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Physical Education, Kiswahili, and Literature in English, alongside vocational subjects including Building Construction, Woodwork, Agriculture, Technical Drawing, Fine Art, and Entrepreneurship.

At A-Level, students study a two-year course with a choice of three principal subjects, complemented by compulsory General Paper and optional subsidiaries in ICT or Mathematics. The A-Level curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects in sciences, arts, and social sciences, preparing students for tertiary education and equipping them with analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
