Busaana Modern Academy – Bugerere Academics

Busaana Modern Academy offers a robust Ordinary-Level curriculum under the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) framework, following the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) guidelines. We currently provide education from Senior One to Senior Four, focusing on both academic excellence and practical skill development. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students thoroughly for the UCE examinations while nurturing critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.

At BMA, learning extends beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to engage in a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, including sports, debates, cultural events, and community service. These activities are designed to foster teamwork, leadership, creativity, and discipline, ensuring that every student develops holistically and is prepared for challenges both inside and outside school.

BMA boasts purpose-built facilities to support learning and development. Our campus includes classrooms, an examination main hall that doubles as a laboratory, and other spaces designed to meet MoES standards for UCE centers. These facilities provide a safe and conducive learning environment where students can focus on academic pursuits while also participating in practical and hands-on activities.

Busaana Modern Academy – Bugerere History

Busaana Modern Academy was founded with permission from the Local Councils I to III and the Education Office in Mukono. Initially operating from rented premises, the school moved to its permanent site at Plot 13, Kireku Road, half a kilometre from Busaana Taxi Park, in 1999.

Despite early challenges and opposition, BMA has grown steadily and continues to advocate for the government’s Universal Secondary Education (USE) program. Our mission is to provide quality secondary education in a supportive environment, nurturing students’ academic, social, and moral development.
