Kitante Primary School Academics

The school follows the national curriculum as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Sports. Lower primary classes (grades one and two) follow a thematic curriculum, while upper primary grades focus on a traditional core curriculum, including Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies. Other subjects offered include Physical Education, Music, Handwriting, Agriculture, and Religious Education.

Kitante Primary School History

Kitante Primary School was established in 1968 as a collaborative initiative between the British and Ugandan governments. The school was originally intended to educate children of diplomats and senior civil servants working in Uganda’s capital city. Over the decades, Kitante Primary has grown into one of the largest government-aided schools in Kampala, serving a diverse student population and maintaining a strong reputation for academic excellence and holistic development.
