Luyanzi College, Bweyogerere Campus is a private co-education and interdenominational institution where admission is on merit. Luyanzi College is a boarding and day secondary college for girls and boys offering both “O” and “A” Level classes, and is registered by Ministry of Education and Sports and UNEB Center No. U0731.

Luyanzi College rapidly established itself as a haven for senior students from Kenya,Tanzania, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, India and of course, its home setting- Uganda.

Background

Luyanzi College has an educational experience of over 20 years derived from the former Progressive Secondary School Bweyogerere which started way back in 1988 with an idea of coaching ‘A’ Level students who wanted to make it to the prestigious Makerere University on government sponsorship.

Due to the growing number, in 1990 they moved from Mitchel hall to Namirembe road in a commercial building for some time and later in the same year moved to Rubaga road and rented Aunt Mary Kagwa Nursery school premises.

O-level subjects: English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, History,
Geography, Literature in English, CRE / IRE, Commerce, Art and Design, Computer studies, Luganda,
Kiswahili, Chinese language (Mandarin), Tailoring.

A-level subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, History, Geography, Literature
in English, CRE / IRE, Entrepreneurship, Art and Design, Computer studies, Luganda, Kiswahili, Chinese
